Updated On Sunday, January 20, 2019 01:16:21 AM

Thanks to ingenious modern day innovations, we are proud to introduce the capability to supply you with same day crowns - that's right, a brand-new crown in just one appointment! Here's how it works.

Step One, high resolution digital 3-D impressions are taken with a small camera, a unique camera developed just for this function.

Second, the brand-new software examines the whole image and uses the results to determine a number of excellent restoration possibilities. Next those possibilities are analyzed and improved by the dentist and the final restoration plan is picked.

Step three your brand-new crown is milled by the cerec device right in our office and put in your mouth, all in one visit!

If you want to know more about the same day crown procedure, call our office and we would be happy to assist you.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

CEREC can be used for a broad range of indications: onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers and inlays.

The Topic For Today Is:

Porcelain Teeth Veneers

Veneers are a really thin pieces of durable, tooth shaped, porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a stunning and attractive smile.

Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile. They can often be alternatives to crowns and the ideal option in treating numerous cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

As with many dental restorations, veneers may one day require replacement; however, they are still extremely durable and will last many years, offering you a long lasting, stunning smile.

How Are Veneers Set?

Veneers are a dental treatment where a covering is placed over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are typically only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or grinning. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct method normally involves positioning composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This method is usually referred to as bonding.

The indirect technique normally involves 2 visits because the veneers will be made at a dental lab. At the first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are offered a temporary covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The lab made veneers are usually made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are really esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the treatment is normally less unpleasant. Veneers are not recommended for teeth that have large fillings or little tooth structure.

You will get care directions for your veneers. Proper brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your new and lovely veneers.
