Dental crowns are used to enhance a tooth, and return it to its original function. Dental crowns are made to color-match the adjacent teeth, so they can not be discovered by others as being anything less than a long-term tooth. With a dental crown, you have the ability to eat anything you like, and your clear speech will never be disrupted. In fact, your dental crown is so natural feeling, you will not even know it exists in your mouth.

Same day crowns are a very interesting offering of our practice. We are able to supply you with a lovely brand-new smile in simply one day. Our office has cutting edge equipment that allows dental practitioners to provide you with crowns in simply a little fraction of the time that was required in the past.

CAD/CAM technology is what makes this interesting advancement possible. The acronym means computer-aided design/computed-aided manufacturing. We have the ability to use this technology in our system. This system is used to restore teeth, start to finish, in one day. This will save you from an extra visit to our practice, a week or two later. We're sure you have much more exciting things you would rather do with your time than to sit in our dentist's chair any longer than you need to!

Using our new system, we scan the prepared tooth in your mouth or from an impression, and after that send the info to our in-office milling station. The restoration is computer-milled to the exact specifications to fit your mouth in minutes. When the crown is crated, we put it in your mouth, and color, polish and restore your brand-new tooth to a stunning and natural-looking appeal. This technology can also be used for same-day veneers or inlays.

If you need a crown in a hurry, for an upcoming social or business event, this process might undoubtedly be perfect for you. If you are interested in finding out more about this process, contact us today for a consultation.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device created to replace missing teeth. The device is usually constructed out of titanium and is surgically placed into the jawbone where the teeth are missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and traditional bridges or dentures may not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some individuals, dental implants provide a smile that looks and feels very natural. Surgically placed below the gums over a series of visits, implants fuse to the jawbone and work as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants offer stability because they connect to your bone, a procedure called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some people also discover the secure fit is more comfortable than traditional substitutes. Candidates for dental implants need to have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

What's Involved In Having A Dental Implant?

A dental implant may be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this procedure, a small titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which additionally slows or stops the bone loss that takes place when the root of a natural tooth is missing. Once the implant is firmly set in the mouth, the dental practitioner then works to connect the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent solution has the advantages over bridge work that it does not stress the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth wear out, another can merely be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be utilized as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an alternative to partial dentures, and has numerous advantages. First, there is no modification period to acclimatize the client who, as soon as the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no pain or problem in eating. And, best of all, of course, they do not need to be taken out all the time.
