Temporary crowns and second visits for crowns are now typically unnecessary thanks to the same day crown technology. We offer this exciting one-visit crown innovation in our office, adding higher convenience to the process of getting a crown. The waiting time between your procedure and when you get your long-term crown is eliminated.

The same day crown innovation is an instrument that permits ceramic restorations (veneers, inlays, onlays, and crowns) to be carried out in one visit instead of 2. The computer collaborates with a digital camera permitting the dental practitioner to make digital impressions without the discomfort of bulky impression material.

After taking the picture the computer takes over and mills your custom-made crown immediately so that we can cement your new crown that very same day. The results we see are fantastic. With the same day crowns, the fit, strength, and aesthetics of the ceramic restorations are outstanding.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a broad range of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

The Conversation For Today Is:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of many patients, there are multiple methods to lighten teeth. The most popular method is utilizing a home tooth whitening system that will whiten teeth significantly. Since tooth lightening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is essential to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use numerous approaches: customizeded tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the lab produces into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire procedure takes about a week of day-to-day use. Three different strengths of gel may be utilized, however, the greater the strength, the higher the likelihood of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is recommended for badly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take a number of months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really quick and practical lightening procedure. The visit is approximately one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our patients enjoy this treatment since it is so easy and fast!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays ought to be utilized every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
