CROWNS IN A DAY
JULESBURG COLORADO

Updated On Thursday, September 20, 2018 12:53:14 PM

If you have a fractured or broken tooth, are experiencing pain when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperature levels, or want to remove unsightly metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be an excellent choice for you. Dental Crowns cover the visible surface area of the affected tooth, adding durability and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are a choice that we provide on a case by case basis to patients who would benefit from the procedure. They enable clients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their final dental crown in place that same day. This removes the need to have a temporary crown placed and then another check-up scheduled for the placement of the final crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our brand-new technology that scans the mouth to get the appropriate measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are very strong and resilient and made out of the highest quality porcelain available. In many cases, a gold crown might be advised for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clench your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the cost may vary between the two and you might want to talk about your budget as well with the your dentist. Your dentist will discuss with you the kinds of crowns available and offer you a suggestion based on your specific scenario.

Call us to schedule a complimentary cosmetic consultation. We look forward to talking to you.

Today's Topic Is:

Porcelain Veneers (Tooth)

Veneers are a very thin pieces of long lasting, tooth shaped, porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a stunning and appealing smile.

Veneers can entirely improve your teeth and smile. They can typically be alternatives to crowns and the ideal option in treating numerous cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Similar to a lot of dental restorations, veneers might someday need replacement; however, they are still extremely resilient and will last many years, giving you a long lasting, beautiful smile.

How Are Veneers Placed?

Veneers are a dental procedure where a covering is positioned over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are normally only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct method generally involves positioning composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This technique is normally referred to as bonding.

The indirect method generally involves two visits because the veneers will be produced at a dental laboratory. At the first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are offered a short-term covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The lab made veneers are typically made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are extremely esthetic.

The benefit of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the procedure is typically less unpleasant. Veneers are not recommended for teeth that have big fillings or little tooth structure.

You will get care guidelines for your veneers. Proper brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your new and stunning veneers.
