Single Day Crowns And Teeth Restorations

Do you have to get a dental crown? Or will you quickly be requiring a dental treatment that will cause you to require a dental crown? If so, you may be beginning to dread the time you will have to invest at the dental practitioner's office. At our dental practice, we provide a terrific time-saving option for you. We offer same day crowns at our practice!

At our practice we are proud to have expert and highly-trained dental practitioners on staff. At our dental practice we incorporate cutting edge innovations and procedures to supply our clients with the very best restorative, preventive, implant, and cosmetic dentistry care. For patients who have to get dental crowns, we are very delighted to be able to provide same day crowns.

Crowns and caps are two various names for the same thing. A dental crown is a restoration that is generally made of porcelain. It is a strong structure that is used to cover a tooth on all four sides to help strengthen the tooth and enhance its function.

Crowns can also be used to attach bridges, as the top part of a dental implant, or to prevent a damaged tooth from becoming weaker. Crowns can also be used to reinforce a tooth after a root canal treatment.

Crowns are also used for purely aesthetic reasons, such as to cover a badly stained tooth that needs to be brought back to its original, appealing appearance.

Usually getting a dental crown is a prolonged procedure. The dentist will need to take impressions, supply you with a short-term crown, wait for the crown to be returned from a laboratory, then have you go back to the office so that it can be permanently connected. Today at our practice patients can get same day crowns in about two hours.

Our same day crowns are created in our practice thanks to our CAD-CAM innovation.

CAD-CAM means "computer-aided-design-computer-aided-manufacture." Computers are used to take images which are then computer-analyzed and used to develop a crown.

This crown is in fact milled by a computer in our office. The crown will fit your mouth exactly and remove any need to send out impressions or images to an outside laboratory.

All this is done while you wait, eliminating the need to come back for a second appointment.

You also will not have to get a short-term crown, given that our permanent crown will be instantly available to you.

If you would like to meet with our dental practitioner to get more information about same day crowns or to obtain a same day crown, contact our practice.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of areas requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be used for a full scope of indications: anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and posterior crowns.

Today We Will Be Discussing:

Dentures (Dental)

There are different types of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is great enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly.

The entire mouth is examined and a determination is made regarding which teeth will need to be removed, and which will remain. The loose teeth are then removed. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending on the type. There is an adjustment time after dentures are placed in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. Once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular functionality and look return and one simply carries on as usual. Commonly implants can be utilized to further stabilize the dentures.

It is important to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a significant lifestyle change when compared to natural teeth. Dentures impact the type of food you have the ability to eat, your self-esteem in social scenarios, and even your self-esteem.

A Few Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the exact same arch

  • Restore chewing capability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other treatments

An upper full denture will usually feel much better than a lower full denture. In order to significantly improve the fit of a lower complete denture, we often recommend using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. 2 dental implants put in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and considerably improve comfort. Sometimes, the implants can even be positioned in the jaw after a denture has been in use for a number of years.
