Can Same Day Crowns Benefit Me?

With this, we can fabricate natural looking crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers here in our office while you unwind. Now, there is no longer a need to make multiple appointments to the dental practitioner's office to be measured and fitted with short-term restorations - you can take pleasure in a fantastic, natural looking, and long lasting solution for your missing or damaged teeth today.

First, your dentist will consult with you to go over the information of the procedure. Throughout the procedure, the dental practitioner will apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special camera to take a picture of your tooth.

Using the new software, the image works as a map to design your tooth's restoration. Then, it will use a diamond bur and disk-work to develop your restoration piece from ceramic.

Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

It makes your teeth tougher and more stunning - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the high-grade ceramic material works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device created to replace missing teeth. The device is normally made out of titanium and is surgically put into the jawbone where the tooth is missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and traditional bridges or dentures may not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some individuals, dental implants provide a smile that feels and look extremely natural. Surgically positioned below the gums over a series of appointments, implants fuse to the jawbone and serve as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants offer stability because they connect to your bone, a process called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some individuals also find the secure fit is more comfortable than conventional alternatives. Candidates for dental implants have to have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

What's Involved In Getting A Dental Implant?

A dental implant might be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this treatment, a small titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which in addition slows or stops the bone loss that occurs when the root of a natural tooth is missing. As soon as the implant is securely embeded in the mouth, the dentist then works to connect the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent solution has the advantages over bridge work that it does not stress the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth break, another can simply be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be utilized as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an option to partial dentures, and has a number of advantages. First, there is no modification period to acclimatize the patient who, when the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no pain or trouble in eating. And, best of all, of course, they don't need to be taken out all the time.
