Why Do They Call Them Same Day Crowns?

This advanced innovation permits your dentist to take precise images of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and put a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single appointment. Same day crowns offer unparalleled convenience, value, and precision to our patients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown process consists of three fundamental steps. 1st, your dental practitioner uses 3D imaging to take highly accurate pictures of your tooth and the surrounding structures. Next, they then download these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, designs your custom-fitted crown. Third, your dental practitioner will send the design to their in-office accuracy milling machine which produces the crown out of a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for additional strength and esthetics, your dental practitioner will position it on your tooth.

Exactly What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

We just use dental porcelain and zirconia to produce our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations offer incomparable strength, resilience, chip and stain resistance, and natural appeal.

Precision-fitted same day crowns require less tooth preparation and protect more of your tooth structure.

Standard crowns need two office visits. With same day crowns, you can come to our dentist's office for an appointment and leave with a wonderfully fixed tooth.

You can prevent the trouble and possible risks associated with uncomfortable short-term crowns.

Today's Discussion Will Be About:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of a lot of patients, there are a number of ways to bleach teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth whitening system that will bleach teeth significantly. Because tooth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is essential to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use numerous techniques: customizeded tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the lab makes into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of day-to-day use. Three different strengths of gel may be utilized, however, the greater the strength, the greater the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is advised for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take a number of months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really fast and practical lightening process. The visit is roughly one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our patients love this treatment since it is so simple and fast!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up might be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays need to be used every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
