Temporary crowns and 2nd visits for crowns are now usually unnecessary thanks to the same day crown technology. We provide this exciting one-visit crown innovation in our office, adding higher convenience to the process of getting a crown. The waiting time in between your treatment and when you get your permanent crown is eliminated.

The same day crown innovation is an instrument that allows ceramic restorations (crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays) to be performed in one visit instead of two. The computer coordinates with a wireless digital camera permitting the dental practitioner to make digital impressions without the discomfort of bulky impression material.

After taking the picture the computer takes control and mills your custom-made crown immediately so that we can cement your brand-new crown that very same day. The results we see are fantastic. With the same day crowns, the fit, strength, and aesthetics of the ceramic restorations are outstanding.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of areas needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a broad scope of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

Today's Topic Will Be About:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a procedure where we use a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be used in certain scenarios where a tooth has actually been damaged or become stained. These are typically small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this fairly affordable ways instead of through a more pricey dental treatment.

Here's How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to modify the alignment of the tooth, close spaces between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material adheres to the surface. Then the material itself is positioned on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to get a lustrous finish as a last step.
