DENTAL CROWNS FRONT TEETH

Updated On Sunday, June 24, 2018 02:29:38 AM

The Benefits Of Getting Single Visit Crowns Are:

  • It is time-saving. It enables you to have your dental crown put in place in just one dental visit.

  • Its material is biocompatible. Same day crowns use ceramic which mimics the look of your natural teeth thus making it visually pleasing. It does not cause temperature sensitivity which holds true in the case of dental crowns made from metals.

  • It is durable. Same day crowns have the same toughness as those made from gold materials.

  • It is more accurate. The impression made from this brand-new technology is more precise compared to standard impressions.

  • Taking dental impression is more comfortable. Same day crowns use intraoral camera and CAD to take the impression of the tooth while standard dental impression is done using sodium alignate.

The only disadvantage of a single visit crown is that not all clients are candidates for this treatment. Clients with extensive tooth damage that has actually reached the gum line needs a standard crown instead of a same day crown. Also, the damage in the front tooth requires a laboratory-manufactured crown due to the fact that they are thoroughly made than same day crowns.

If you are interested with this kind of procedure or you have further questions or concerns relating to same day crowns, call us today.

Temporal Mandibular Joint

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint might be triggered by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are involved in the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can trigger:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, in some cases extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces between teeth, etc. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. In some cases a plastic mouthpiece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the issue. If unattended and taken to extremes, surgery may be required to fix a badly damaged joint.
