There are various kinds of dentures, however they share their common function. They replace teeth that have actually become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is great enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly.
The entire mouth is analyzed and a determination is made about which teeth will need to be removed, and which will remain. The loose teeth are then extracted. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth stay in the mouth, depending on the type. There is an adjustment period after dentures are put in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. Once accustomed to the dentures, all the normal performance and look return and one just continues as usual. Frequently implants can be used to further support the dentures.
It is essential to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when compared to natural teeth. Dentures impact the kind of food you have the ability to eat, your self-esteem in social circumstances, as well as your self-esteem.
A Couple Reasons For Considering A Full Denture:
- All Teeth missing in the same arch
- Restore chewing ability
- Restore a natural looking smile
- Economical alternative to other procedures
An upper full denture will almost always feel better than a lower complete denture. In order to considerably enhance the fit of a lower full denture, we regularly suggest using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. Two dental implants placed in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and significantly improve comfort. Often, the implants can even be placed in the jaw after a denture has been in use for a number of years.
