Same Day Crowns With Advanced Technology

We aim to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are happening in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It enables us to create crowns and larger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most innovative dental technology, consisting of 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM technology. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The entire treatment takes between 1-2 hours and can be finished in one sitting.

Usually, a crown in the past would have needed two visits. The first appointment consists of preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a temporary crown. Throughout the second visit, the short-term crown is replaced with the permanent one. With a same day crown, the whole procedure can be finished in just one appointment. We will use video imaging technology to photograph the tooth and use CAD/CAM technology to create the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transferred to a milling device that carves the restoration from a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the brand-new crown to your tooth. This removes the need to wear a temporary as well as a 2nd appointment.

Corrective dentistry treatments can be crucial to the overall health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a visit.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device created to replace missing teeth. The device is normally constructed of titanium and is surgically put into the jawbone where the tooth is missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and traditional bridges or dentures might not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some people, dental implants offer a smile that looks and feels extremely natural. Surgically positioned below the gums over a series of appointments, implants connect to the jawbone and act as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants provide stability due to the fact that they fuse to your bone, a procedure called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some people also discover the secure fit is more comfortable than conventional replacements. Candidates for dental implants have to have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

How Involving Is A Dental Implant?

A dental implant may be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this treatment, a little titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which additionally slows or stops the bone loss that occurs when the root of a natural tooth is missing. Once the implant is firmly embeded in the mouth, the dental practitioner then works to connect the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent option has the advantages over bridge work that it does not stress the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth break, another can merely be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be used as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an alternative to partial dentures, and has numerous benefits. First, there is no adjustment period to acclimatize the patient who, once the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no discomfort or problem in eating. And, best of all, of course, they do not have to be taken out all the time.
