Single Visit Dental Crowns With Advanced Technology

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are happening in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It allows us to create crowns and bigger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most innovative dental innovation, including 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM innovation. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The whole treatment takes between 1-2 hours and can be completed in one sitting.

Usually, a crown in the past would have needed two appointments. The very first appointment consists of preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a temporary crown. Throughout the second appointment, the temporary crown is replaced with the permanent one. With a same day crown, the whole treatment can be finished in simply one appointment. We will use video imaging technology to tke a picture of the tooth and use CAD/CAM technology to create the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transferred to a milling device that sculpts the restoration out of a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the new crown to your tooth. This eliminates the need to get a short-term along with a second visit.

Corrective dentistry treatments can be very important to the overall health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a consultation.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device created to replace missing teeth. The device is generally constructed of titanium and is surgically placed into the jawbone where the tooth is missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and conventional bridges or dentures might not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some people, dental implants offer a smile that feels and look very natural. Surgically positioned below the gums over a series of visits, implants fuse to the jawbone and act as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants provide stability due to the fact that they connect to your bone, a process called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some people also find the secure fit is more comfy than conventional substitutes. Candidates for dental implants must have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

How Involving Is A Dental Implant?

A dental implant might be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this procedure, a little titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which in addition slows or stops the bone loss that takes place when the root of a natural tooth is missing. As soon as the implant is securely embeded in the mouth, the dentist then works to connect the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent option has the advantages over bridge work that it does not need the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth wear out, another can simply be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be utilized as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an alternative to partial dentures, and has a number of benefits. First, there is no adjustment period to acclimatize the patient who, when the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no discomfort or trouble in eating. And, best of all, of course, they don't need to be taken out all the time.
