Obtain A Perfect Smile With Same Day Crowns

Same Day Crowns attend to visual requirements, fix tooth function, and enhance the general health of your mouth. In cases where teeth have huge broken down fillings, a crown can secure and preserve the remaining natural tooth.

To improve your smile, a metal-free, tooth-colored same day crown can also replace an older metal or porcelain crown. Following root canal treatment, a crown is normally positioned over the remaining tooth structure to preserve visual and tooth function.

To find out more on same day crowns or other restorative treatments, call us and make an appointment today.

Today's Conversation Will Be About:

Temporal-Mandibular Joint

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint might be triggered by a misalignment of the teeth, trauma, or excess muscle stress. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are associated with the area. If something fails a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble or soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, sometimes extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces in between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Often a plastic mouth piece is utilized to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the problem. If untreated and required to extremes, surgery may be required to repair a badly damaged joint.
