Why Are These Crowns Called Same Day Crowns?

This cutting edge technology enables your dentist to take precise images of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and place a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single visit. Same day crowns provide exceptional benefits, value, and accuracy to our patients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown procedure includes three fundamental steps. 1st, your dentist uses 3D imaging to take extremely precise images of your tooth and the surrounding structures. 2nd, she downloads these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, creates your custom-fitted crown. Third, your dentist will send the design to their in-office precision milling machine which produces the crown from a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for additional strength and esthetics, your dentist will place it on your tooth.

What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

We only use dental porcelain and zirconia to produce our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations offer incomparable toughness, durability, chip and stain resistance, and natural beauty.

Precision-fitted same day crowns require less tooth prep work and protect more of your tooth structure.

Standard crowns require 2 office visits. With same day crowns, you can come to our dentist's office for a visit and leave with a perfectly restored tooth.

You can avoid the trouble and potential risks associated with uncomfortable temporary crowns.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device designed to replace missing teeth. The device is usually constructed of titanium and is surgically placed into the jawbone where the tooth is missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and conventional bridges or dentures may not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some people, dental implants provide a smile that looks extremely natural. Surgically placed below the gums over a series of visits, implants connect to the jawbone and serve as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants offer stability because they fuse to your bone, a process called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some people also discover the secure fit is more comfy than conventional substitutes. Candidates for dental implants need to have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

What's Involved In Having A Dental Implant?

A dental implant might be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this treatment, a small titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which in addition slows or stops the bone loss that takes place when the root of a natural tooth is missing. When the implant is securely set in the mouth, the dental practitioner then works to connect the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent option has the advantages over bridge work that it does not stress the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth wear out, another can merely be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be used as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an option to partial dentures, and has numerous benefits. First, there is no adjustment period to acclimatize the patient who, as soon as the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no discomfort or trouble in eating. And, best of all, of course, they do not need to be taken out all the time.
