Same Day Crowns

Same day crown technology plays an essential role in our practice. This remarkable innovation in chair side dentistry gives us the tools to create, produce, and set crowns, inlays and onlays in a single appointment.

The Same Day Crown Difference

The conventional approach to a crown or inlay and onlay often required a return appointment after the patient waited (with a short-term restoration in the tooth) for about two weeks while the restoration was made in a separate laboratory. Same day crown CAD/CAM technology removes the wait!

How Do Same Day Crowns Work?

Same day crowns utilize a special camera to take an accurate photo of the broken tooth. This optical impression is moved and displayed on a color computer screen, where the dentist uses CAD (computer-aided design) software to create the restoration.

Then CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) takes over and immediately mills the restoration while the patient waits. At last, the brand-new restoration is bonded in place.

The entire process takes about one hour, and there are no annoying temporaries or second visit needed!

Proven Technology

With 20 years of clinical research and more than 20 million restorations carried out worldwide, same day crowns have actually proven to be a an effective, safe and practical innovation that we are delighted to provide to our patients.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of areas needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a full scope of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

Today's Topic Is:

Ultra Sonic Tooth Cleaning

We use ultrasonic scalers for a lot of adult dental cleanings. These devices use ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that cause gingivitis and gum disease. The ultrasonic cleaners produce microscopic bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, killing microbes and getting rid of plaque and tartar in the process. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the periodontal pockets to help maintain optimal gingival health.

  • The treatment only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can eliminate tartar buildup in hard-to-reach locations, with no damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling commonly uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is barely noticeable. This makes ultrasonic cleaning appropriate to those with delicate teeth.

  • The cleaning procedure is quicker than manual scaling making your visit more comfortable.

After your teeth have been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to check for any residual deposits then polished.
