Why Choose Single Visit Crowns?

There are numerous benefits of single day crowns over standard crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, conserving you considerable time away from your job and family.

  • Comfort: With same day crowns, there is no need for a short-term crown, which eliminates significant possible discomfort and inconvenience of a lost short-term restoration. Only one appointment means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was previously treated with a root canal. No traditional impressions means no gagging.

  • Aesthetics: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this new technology restores your teeth to their natural strength, appeal, and function and carefully match the composition of natural tooth structure.

  • Durability: Milled ceramic is tougher than the standard method of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay beautiful for multiple years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and innovation can also be used for fillings. Because they are constructed of porcelain, they are more long lasting than white composite fillings. They are much more aesthetic than mercury consisting of silver fillings and stronger because of bonding technology.

If you have any more concerns about same day crowns or porcelain crowns, please do not hesitate to call our office today. We will answer any questions you have and you can make an appointment to consult with our dental practitioner in person.

Today's Conversation Will Be About:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of a lot of clients, there are numerous methods to bleach teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth lightening system that will lighten teeth significantly. Since tooth lightening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize a number of methods: custom made tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory fabricates into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire procedure takes about a week of everyday use. 3 various strengths of gel might be used, however, the higher the strength, the greater the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is suggested for badly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take multiple months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very quick and hassle-free whitening procedure. The appointment is roughly one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients love this treatment because it is so easy and fast!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up might be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays must be utilized every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
