Why Choose One Day Crowns?

There are many benefits of one day crowns over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, conserving you substantial time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no requirement for a temporary crown, which removes significant possible pain and inconvenience of a lost short-term restoration. Only one appointment means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was previously treated with a root canal. No conventional impressions resulting in no gagging.

  • Aesthetic appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this brand-new technology restores your teeth to their natural strength, charm, and function and closely match the composition of natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is stronger than the traditional technique of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain lovely for years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and technology can also be used for fillings. Because they are constructed out of porcelain, they are more resilient than white composite fillings. They are a lot more aesthetic than mercury containing silver fillings and stronger because of bonding technology.

If you have any more concerns about same day crowns or porcelain crowns, please do not hesitate to contact our office today. We will answer any questions you have and you can make an appointment to consult with our dentist personally.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of locations requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a full range of indications: anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and posterior crowns.

Today's Topic Has To Do With:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a procedure where we use a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be used in specific circumstances where a tooth has been broken or ended up being stained. These are normally small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this reasonably inexpensive methods rather than through a more expensive dental treatment.

How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to change the positioning of the tooth, close gaps between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material adheres to the surface. Then the material itself is put on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to obtain a shiny finish as a last step.
