Why Are These Crowns Called Same Day Crowns?

This cutting edge technology enables your dental practitioner to take precise images of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and place a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single visit. Same day crowns provide unparalleled benefits, value, and precision to our patients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown procedure consists of 3 basic steps. First, your dental practitioner uses 3D imaging to take highly precise photos of your tooth and the surrounding structures. Next, she downloads these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, designs your custom-fitted crown. From there, your dentist will send out the design to their in-office accuracy milling machine which produces the crown from a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for added strength and esthetics, your dental practitioner will position it on your tooth.

What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

We just use dental porcelain and zirconia to develop our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations offer incomparable toughness, sturdiness, chip and stain resistance, and natural appeal.

Precision-fitted same day crowns require less tooth preparation and protect more of your tooth structure.

Traditional crowns need two office visits. With same day crowns, you can come into our dentist's office for an appointment and leave with a magnificently restored tooth.

You can prevent the inconvenience and potential threats connected with ill-fitting temporary crowns.

Today's Topic Is About:

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device created to replace missing teeth. The device is usually constructed of titanium and is surgically placed into the jawbone where the teeth are missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and traditional bridges or dentures may not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some people, dental implants provide a smile that looks very natural. Surgically placed below the gums over a series of visits, implants connect to the jawbone and function as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants offer stability since they connect to your bone, a process called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some individuals also find the secure fit is more comfortable than conventional substitutes. Prospects for dental implants need to have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

How Involving Is A Dental Implant?

A dental implant may be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this treatment, a little titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which additionally slows or stops the bone loss that occurs when the root of a natural tooth is missing. When the implant is securely set in the mouth, the dental practitioner then works to connect the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent solution has the advantages over bridge work that it does not stress the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth wear out, another can simply be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be utilized as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an option to partial dentures, and has numerous benefits. First, there is no adjustment period to acclimatize the patient who, when the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no discomfort or trouble in eating. And, best of all, of course, they do not need to be taken out all the time.
