Why Are They Called Same Day Crowns?

This advanced technology enables your dentist to take accurate pictures of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and place a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single appointment. Same day crowns offer unparalleled convenience, value, and precision to our patients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown process consists of 3 fundamental steps. 1st, your dental practitioner uses 3D imaging to take highly precise pictures of your tooth and the surrounding structures. Next, he downloads these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, designs your custom-fitted crown. From there, your dental practitioner will send the design to their in-office precision milling machine which develops the crown from a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for additional strength and esthetics, your dentist will position it on your tooth.

Exactly What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

We just use dental porcelain and zirconia to produce our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations offer unparalleled toughness, sturdiness, chip and stain resistance, and natural beauty.

Precision-fitted same day crowns need less tooth prep work and preserve more of your tooth structure.

Traditional crowns need two office visits. With same day crowns, you can come into our dentist's office for an appointment and leave with a perfectly fixed tooth.

You can prevent the inconvenience and potential threats connected with ill-fitting temporary crowns.

We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. The Discussion For Today Will Be:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Detecting problems with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, expensive procedures or surgeries. X-rays are primarily used to detect:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have numerous advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The concern of direct exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Big on-screen X-rays make patient communication more effective. The instant observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has significantly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It allows the client and the doctor to see images of the teeth in greater resolution on a large format for much easier detection of problems, all while decreasing the radiation exposure to the patient. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available quickly after exposure, removing the wait and effort spent establishing and mounting x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done right away. Digital format also allows us to send out and get your images electronically for consultation that can be presented to you rapidly.
