Same day crown restorations offer your tooth a natural match to the rest of your teeth, and can help to reserve the healthy part of that tooth.

Why get a same day crown instead of a standard one?

Less time in the dental chair (Just one appointment that lasts two hours) half the number of visits, fewer anesthetics, less tooth structure is lost in many cases, we can make the majority of the prep work for these crowns without cutting away too much of your natural tooth.

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of many patients, there are a number of ways to whiten teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth whitening system that will lighten teeth dramatically. Since tooth whitening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is very important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize a number of approaches: customizeded tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray technique involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory makes into custom-made vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole process takes about a week of everyday use. 3 various strengths of gel might be utilized, however, the higher the strength, the greater the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is suggested for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take numerous months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a extremely fast and practical whitening process. The visit is roughly one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our patients enjoy this treatment due to the fact that it is so simple and fast!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays need to be utilized every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
