Temporary crowns and second visits for crowns are now normally unnecessary thanks to the same day crown innovation. We offer this amazing one-visit crown innovation in our office, adding higher convenience to the procedure of getting a crown. The waiting time in between your procedure and when you get your permanent crown is eliminated.

The same day crown innovation is an instrument that permits ceramic restorations (veneers, inlays, onlays, and crowns) to be performed in one visit instead of two. The computer coordinates with a wireless digital camera enabling the dental practitioner to make digital impressions without the annoyance of bulky impression material.

After taking the picture the computer takes control and mills your custom crown right away so that we can cement your new crown that very same day. The outcomes we see are fantastic. With the same day crowns, the strength, aesthetics, and fit of the ceramic restorations are excellent.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be used in a full range of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

The Topic For Today Will Be:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of most clients, there are multiple methods to lighten teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth bleaching system that will lighten teeth significantly. Because tooth lightening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is essential to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize multiple approaches: customizeded tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory fabricates into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole procedure takes about a week of day-to-day use. Three various strengths of gel might be used, however, the greater the strength, the greater the likelihood of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is advised for badly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take a number of months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very quick and convenient lightening procedure. The appointment is approximately one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our clients love this treatment since it is so easy and fast!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays must be used every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
