Why Do They Call Them Same Day Crowns?

This advanced technology permits your dental practitioner to take precise images of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and place a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single visit. Same day crowns offer unparalleled convenience, value, and precision to our patients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown process includes 3 basic steps. First, your dentist uses 3D imaging to take highly precise images of your tooth and the surrounding structures. Second, she downloads these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, develops your custom-fitted crown. From there, your dental practitioner will send the design to their in-office accuracy milling device which creates the crown from a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for extra strength and esthetics, your dentist will put it on your tooth.

Exactly What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

We just use dental porcelain and zirconia to produce our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations offer unparalleled toughness, sturdiness, chip and stain resistance, and natural beauty.

Precision-fitted same day crowns need less tooth preparation and maintain more of your tooth structure.

Standard crowns require two office visits. With same day crowns, you can come to our dentist's office for a visit and leave with a magnificently fixed tooth.

You can prevent the trouble and potential threats associated with ill-fitting short-term crowns.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of locations needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

CEREC can be used in a broad scope of indications: partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.

Today's Subject Is:

Ultra-Sonic Cleanings

We use ultrasonic scalers for many adult dental cleanings. These devices utilize ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that trigger gingivitis and periodontal disease. The ultrasonic cleaners create tiny bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, eliminating microorganisms and removing plaque and tartar in the process. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the gum pockets to help keep optimal gingival health.

  • The procedure only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can get rid of tartar buildup in hard-to-reach locations, with no damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling typically uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is barely perceptible. This makes ultrasonic cleaning suitable to those with vulnerable teeth.

  • The cleaning process is quicker than manual scaling making your visit more comfy.

After your teeth have actually been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to check for any residual deposits then polished.
