Dental crowns are used to strengthen a tooth, and return it to its initial function. Dental crowns are made to color-match the nearby teeth, so they can not be spotted by others as being anything less than a long-term tooth. With a dental crown, you are able to eat anything you like, and your clear speech will never be disrupted. In fact, your dental crown is so natural feeling, you will not even know it is there in your mouth.

Same day crowns are a very exciting offering of our practice. We are able to have you with a stunning brand-new smile in simply one day. Our office has state-of-the-art equipment that permits dental practitioners to offer you with crowns in simply a small fraction of the time that was required previously.

CAD/CAM innovation is exactly what makes this interesting advancement possible. The acronym means computer-aided design/computed-aided manufacturing. We are able to use this technology in our system. This system is used to fix teeth, start to finish, in one day. This will save you from an additional visit to our practice, a week or so later. We're sure you have a lot more amazing things you would rather do with your time than to sit in our dental practitioner's chair any longer than you have to!

Using our brand-new system, we scan the readied tooth in your mouth or from an impression, then send out the info to our in-office milling station. The restoration is computer-milled to the specific specifications to fit your mouth in minutes. Once the crown is crated, we put it in your mouth, and color, polish and restore your new tooth to a gorgeous and natural-looking luster. This innovation can also be used for same-day veneers or inlays.

If you require a crown in a hurry, for an upcoming social or business occasion, this procedure may undoubtedly be perfect for you. If you have an interest in finding out more about this procedure, call us today for a consultation.

Today's Discussion Has To Do With:

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device created to replace missing teeth. The device is typically constructed of titanium and is surgically put into the jawbone where the teeth are missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and traditional bridges or dentures may not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some people, dental implants provide a smile that looks very natural. Surgically positioned below the gums over a series of visits, implants connect to the jawbone and work as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants provide stability because they connect to your bone, a process called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some people also find the secure fit is more comfortable than traditional replacements. Candidates for dental implants need to have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

What Does A Dental Implant Involve?

A dental implant might be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this treatment, a small titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which additionally slows or stops the bone loss that occurs when the root of a natural tooth is missing. When the implant is securely embeded in the mouth, the dental practitioner then works to connect the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent solution has the advantages over bridge work that it does not need the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth break, another can simply be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be used as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an alternative to partial dentures, and has a number of benefits. First, there is no adjustment period to acclimatize the patient who, when the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no pain or problem in eating. And, best of all, of course, they don't have to be taken out all the time.
