Single Visit Dental Crowns With Advanced Technology

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are occurring in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown technology in our office. It enables us to produce crowns and larger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most innovative dental innovation, consisting of 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM innovation. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The entire procedure takes between 1-2 hours and can be completed in one sitting.

Typically, a crown in the past would have required two appointments. The first visit includes preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a temporary crown. During the second appointment, the short-term crown is replaced with the long-term one. With a same day crown, the entire procedure can be finished in just one appointment. We will use video imaging innovation to take a photo of the tooth and use CAD/CAM technology to create the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly sent to a milling machine that sculpts the restoration out of a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the new crown to your tooth. This removes the need to get a short-term as well as a second visit.

Restorative dentistry procedures can be crucial to the overall health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a visit.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of locations needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used in a broad scope of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

The Discussion For Today Will Be:

Ultra-Sonic Tooth Cleaning

We use ultrasonic scalers for a lot of adult dental cleanings. These devices use ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that cause gingivitis and gum disease. The ultrasonic cleaners produce tiny bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, eliminating microbes and getting rid of plaque and tartar at the same time. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the periodontal pockets to help preserve optimal gingival health.

  • The procedure only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can remove tartar buildup in hard-to-reach areas, with no damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling frequently uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is hardly noticeable. This makes ultrasonic cleaning suitable to those with delicate teeth.

  • The cleaning process is much faster than manual scaling making your visit more comfortable.

After your teeth have actually been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to look for any residual deposits and then polished.
