Same Day Crowns With Advanced Technology

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are happening in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It enables us to create crowns and larger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most innovative dental innovation, consisting of 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM innovation. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The whole procedure takes between 1-2 hours and can be finished in one sitting.

Usually, a crown in the past would have needed 2 appointments. The very first visit consists of preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a short-term crown. Throughout the second visit, the short-term crown is replaced with the permanent one. With a same day crown, the whole treatment can be completed in just one appointment. We will use video imaging innovation to take a photo of the tooth and use CAD/CAM technology to create the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transmitted to a milling device that sculpts the restoration from a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the new crown to your tooth. This removes the need to get a short-term in addition to a 2nd appointment.

Corrective dentistry treatments can be essential to the general health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a consultation.

Today's Discussion Is About:

Dentures (Dental)

There are various kinds of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is great enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. Nobody enjoys losing their natural teeth, however you can still eat and talk regularly.

The whole mouth is analyzed and a determination is made regarding which teeth will need to be removed, and which will stay. The loose teeth are then removed. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending on the type. There is an adjustment period after dentures are placed in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular capability and look return and one just continues as usual. Often implants can be utilized to further stabilize the dentures.

It is necessary to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when as compared to natural teeth. Dentures impact the type of food you have the ability to eat, your self-esteem in social scenarios, as well as your self-confidence.

A Few Reasons For Considering A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the exact same arch

  • Restore chewing ability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper full denture will almost always feel much better than a lower complete denture. In order to significantly improve the fit of a lower complete denture, we regularly recommend using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. 2 dental implants put in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and substantially enhance comfort. Sometimes, the implants can even be put in the jaw after a denture has actually been in use for multiple years.
