If you have a fractured or busted tooth, are experiencing discomfort when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperatures, or want to eliminate unattractive metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be a great choice for you. Dental Crowns cover the outter surface area of the affected tooth, adding toughness and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are a choice that we provide on a case by case basis to clients who would benefit from the treatment. They enable clients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their permanent dental crown in place that same day. This removes the need to have a short-term crown placed and then another appointment set up for the placement of the permanent crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our brand-new technology that scans the mouth to get the proper measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, and then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are extremely strong and long lasting and made out of the highest quality porcelain available. In some cases, a gold crown might be advised for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clinch your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the cost may vary between the two and you might wish to talk about your budget plan too with the your dental practitioner. Your dental practitioner will discuss with you the types of crowns available and give you a suggestion based upon your particular situation.

Call us to set up a complimentary cosmetic consultation. We look forward to meeting you.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of locations requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

Today Were Talking About:

TMJ (Temporal Mandibular Joint)

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Problems in this joint might be brought on by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle stress. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are associated with the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can trigger:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, often extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces in between teeth, etc. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. In some cases a plastic mouth piece is utilized to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the issue. If unattended and taken to extremes, surgery might be required to fix a terribly damaged joint.
