Acquire A Perfect Smile With Same Day Crowns

Same Day Crowns attend to visual requirements, bring back tooth function, and enhance the overall health of your mouth. In cases where teeth have large broken down fillings, a crown can secure and maintain the remaining natural tooth.

To improve your smile, a metal-free, tooth-colored same day crown can also take place of an older metal or porcelain crown. Following root canal therapy, a crown is generally positioned over the remaining tooth structure to maintain aesthetic and tooth function.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of areas needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used in a wide scope of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

Today's Subject Is:

Endodontic Treatment (Root Canal)

Root canal treatment (also referred to as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is essential when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and discover issues early). Often deep restorations or trauma to a tooth may also trigger the nerve to be harmed to the point it requires root canal treatment. Once this happens, the pulp ends up being infected, and can even extend through the root tip and begin to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it should be treated, and can not heal on its own. It can even weaken the whole immune system. This is dangerous, and may be extremely unpleasant. Signs that the pulp has actually become infected may consist of sensitivity to hot/cold or sugary foods, discomfort, swelling, discomfort to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. Sometimes, however, no signs appear and the individual is unaware of any issue until a checkup.

A root canal is then performed to clean out the infected tooth pulp, and disinfect the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. As soon as the infection is resolved, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any more infection. Normally a core build-up and crown is suggested for restoring a tooth that has had root canal treatment.
