Why Choose Same Day Dental Crowns?

There are many advantages of one day crowns over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one appointment, saving you considerable time away from your job and family.

  • Comfort: With same day crowns, there is no need for a temporary crown, which eliminates significant possible pain and inconvenience of a lost temporary restoration. Only one visit means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was previously treated with a root canal. No standard impressions resulting in no gagging.

  • Looks: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this brand-new innovation restores your teeth to their natural durability, charm, and function and closely match the structure of natural tooth structure.

  • Durability: Milled ceramic is tougher than the standard technique of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay stunning for multiple years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and technology can also be used for fillings. Since they are constructed out of porcelain, they are more resilient than white composite fillings. They are a lot more aesthetic than mercury including silver fillings and stronger because of bonding technology.

If you have any more questions about same day crowns or porcelain crowns, please don't hesitate to call our office today. We will address any concerns you have and you can make an appointment to speak to our dental practitioner personally.

Porcelain Veneers (Teeth)

Veneers are a really thin pieces of resilient, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a gorgeous and appealing smile.

Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile. They can commonly be alternatives to crowns and the perfect solution in treating numerous cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Just like many dental restorations, veneers might someday require replacement; however, they are still extremely long lasting and will last years, offering you a long lasting, lovely smile.

How Are Veneers Set?

Veneers are a dental treatment in which a covering is positioned over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are typically only done to the part of the teeth that are seen when talking or grinning. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct strategy usually involves putting composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This method is generally referred to as bonding.

The indirect method typically involves 2 visits because the veneers will be produced at a dental lab. At the first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are provided a short-term covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory fabricated veneers are typically made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetic.

The benefit of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the treatment is typically less unpleasant. Veneers are not recommended for teeth that have large fillings or little tooth structure.

You will get care guidelines for your veneers. Correct brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will help in the life of your brand-new and stunning veneers.
