Why Select Same Day Crowns?

There are many benefits of using same day crown over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one appointment, saving you substantial time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no requirement for a temporary crown, eliminating significant possible pain.

  • Aesthetic appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of same day crowns restore your teeth to their natural strength, charm, and function, and carefully match the composition of your natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is stronger than the standard method of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain lovely for multiple years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown product and innovation can also be used for fillings. Given that these fillings are made out of porcelain, they are longer lasting than white composite fillings.

Today's Topic Is:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of many patients, there are multiple ways to lighten teeth. The most popular method is utilizing a home tooth bleaching system that will lighten teeth considerably. Since tooth bleaching just works on natural tooth enamel, it is necessary to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize numerous methods: custom made tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the lab produces into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire procedure takes about a week of daily use. Three various strengths of gel might be utilized, however, the higher the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is advised for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take a number of months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very fast and practical bleaching procedure. The appointment is approximately one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our patients enjoy this treatment because it is so simple and fast!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up might be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays need to be used every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
