One Day Crowns And Teeth Restorations

Do you need to get a dental crown? Or will you soon be needing a dental procedure that will cause you to require a dental crown? If so, you may be starting to fear the time you will need to spend at the dental practitioner's office. At our dental practice, we provide a fantastic time-saving option for you. We offer same day crowns at our practice!

At our practice we are proud to have professional and highly-trained dental practitioners on staff. At our dental practice we include advanced innovations and procedures to provide our clients with the best restorative, preventive, implant, and cosmetic dentistry care. For patients who have to get dental crowns, we are really happy to be able to provide same day crowns.

Crowns and caps are 2 different names for the same thing. A dental crown is a restoration that is generally made of porcelain. It is a strong structure that is used to cover a tooth on all four sides to help strengthen the tooth and enhance its function.

Crowns can also be used to connect bridges, as the top portion of a dental implant, or to prevent a broken tooth from ending up being weaker. Crowns can also be used to reinforce a tooth after a root canal procedure.

Crowns are also used for purely aesthetic reasons, such as to cover a badly tarnished tooth that has to be brought back to its original, attractive appearance.

Typically getting a dental crown is a prolonged treatment. The dental practitioner will need to take impressions, supply you with a short-term crown, await the crown to be returned from a laboratory, then have you return to the office so that it can be permanently attached. Today at our practice patients can get same day crowns in about 2 hours.

Our same day crowns are developed in our practice thanks to our CAD-CAM innovation.

CAD-CAM means "computer-aided-design-computer-aided-manufacture." Computers are used to take images which are then computer-analyzed and used to produce a crown.

This crown is in fact milled by a computer in our office. The crown will fit your mouth precisely and remove any need to send impressions or photos to an outside lab.

All this is done while you wait, eliminating the need to come back for a second appointment.

You also will not have to get a crown, because our permanent crown will be immediately offered to you.

If you want to meet our dental practitioner for more information about same day crowns or to obtain a same day crown, call our practice.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of locations requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a broad range of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

Today's Conversation Will Be About:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Finding issues with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, pricey procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mostly utilized to identify:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have numerous advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The worry of direct exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Huge on-screen X-rays make client communication more effective. The immediate observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and precisely.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It enables the patient and the physician to see images of the teeth in higher resolution on a huge format for much easier detection of issues, all while reducing the radiation exposure to the patient. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available immediately after exposure, getting rid of the wait and effort spent establishing and mounting x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done instantly. Digital format also allows us to send out and get your images digitally for consultation that can be provided to you rapidly.
