Single Visit Dental Crowns - A Smart Innovation

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are occurring in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It allows us to create crowns and bigger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most sophisticated dental innovation, consisting of 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM innovation. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The entire procedure takes in between 1-2 hours and can be finished in one sitting.

Usually, a crown in the past would have needed two visits. The very first visit consists of preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a temporary crown. During the second appointment, the temporary crown is replaced with the long-term one. With a same day crown, the entire procedure can be finished in just one visit. We will use video imaging technology to photograph the tooth and use CAD/CAM innovation to create the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transferred to a milling device that sculpts the restoration out of a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the brand-new crown to your tooth. This eliminates the need to get a short-term along with a 2nd visit.

Corrective dentistry treatments can be very important to the general health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a consultation.

The Topic Of The Day Will Be:

Porcelain Veneers (Teeth)

Veneers are a really thin pieces of long lasting, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a gorgeous and attractive smile.

Veneers can entirely improve your teeth and smile. They can typically be alternatives to crowns and the ideal option in treating numerous cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Just like the majority of dental restorations, veneers may one day need replacement; however, they are still really resilient and will last years, offering you a long lasting, lovely smile.

How Are Veneers Applied?

Veneers are a dental treatment where a covering is put over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are generally only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or grinning. The procedure can be direct or indirect.

The direct method typically involves positioning composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This technique is generally referred to as bonding.

The indirect method generally involves two visits because the veneers will be produced at a dental lab. At the first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are provided a temporary covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory fabricated veneers are normally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are extremely esthetic.

The benefit of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the treatment is normally less uncomfortable. Veneers are not suggested for teeth that have huge fillings or little tooth structure.

You will get care directions for your veneers. Proper brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will help in the life of your brand-new and stunning veneers.
