Why Are They Called Same Day Crowns?

This advanced innovation allows your dental practitioner to take precise pictures of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and position a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single appointment. Same day crowns provide unparalleled convenience, value, and accuracy to our clients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown process consists of three basic steps. 1st, your dental practitioner uses 3D imaging to take highly precise pictures of your tooth and the surrounding structures. 2nd, they then download these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, designs your custom-fitted crown. Third, your dental practitioner will send out the design to their in-office precision milling machine which produces the crown from a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for added strength and esthetics, your dentist will place it on your tooth.

Exactly What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

We just use dental porcelain and zirconia to produce our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations offer unparalleled strength, sturdiness, chip and stain resistance, and natural appeal.

Precision-fitted same day crowns need less tooth prep work and protect more of your tooth structure.

Conventional crowns require 2 office visits. With same day crowns, you can come to our dentist's office for an appointment and leave with a magnificently restored tooth.

You can avoid the inconvenience and potential risks connected with uncomfortable temporary crowns.

Today's Topic Will Be:

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device created to replace missing teeth. The device is typically constructed of titanium and is surgically placed into the jawbone where the teeth are missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and conventional bridges or dentures may not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some people, dental implants offer a smile that feels and look very natural. Surgically positioned below the gums over a series of visits, implants fuse to the jawbone and function as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants provide stability because they connect to your bone, a procedure called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some people also discover the secure fit is more comfy than traditional alternatives. Candidates for dental implants need to have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

What Does A Dental Implant Involve?

A dental implant may be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this procedure, a small titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which additionally slows or stops the bone loss that takes place when the root of a natural tooth is missing. When the implant is securely set in the mouth, the dentist then works to attach the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent solution has the advantages over bridge work that it does not need the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth break, another can merely be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be utilized as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an option to partial dentures, and has multiple advantages. First, there is no modification period to acclimatize the patient who, when the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no pain or trouble in eating. And, best of all, of course, they do not have to be taken out all the time.
