With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. Porcelain Tooth Veneers
Veneers are a really thin pieces of resilient, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a gorgeous and attractive smile.
Veneers can entirely reshape your teeth and smile. They can typically be alternatives to crowns and the perfect option in treating numerous cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.
As with a lot of dental restorations, veneers may at some point require replacement; however, they are still extremely durable and will last multiple years, providing you a long lasting, stunning smile.
How Are Veneers Set?
Veneers are a dental treatment in which a covering is placed over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are typically only done to the part of the teeth that are seen when talking or grinning. The procedure can be direct or indirect.
The direct strategy typically involves placing composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This technique is generally referred to as bonding.
The indirect strategy normally involves 2 visits because the veneers will be made at a dental laboratory. At the first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are provided a short-term covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory made veneers are typically made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetic.
The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the procedure is generally less unpleasant. Veneers are not advised for teeth that have large fillings or little tooth structure.
You will get care guidelines for your veneers. Appropriate brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will help in the life of your brand-new and lovely veneers.
