  • Less time in the dental practitioner's chair!

  • No more unpleasant impressions

  • No waiting weeks for your long-term crown

  • No need to wear a temporary crown

  • Digitally matches the color of your tooth

Exactly What Is A Dental Crown?

A crown is a cap made to cover a tooth with the purpose of restoring it to its natural size and shape or to enhance its appearance. To prepare for the crown, dental practitioners drill to eliminate the decayed section as well as form the tooth to get ready for the crown for that part which lies around and above the gum line.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of areas requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be used for a wide range of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

Today's Conversation Is About:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Spotting problems with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, pricey treatments or surgeries. X-rays are mostly used to find:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have a number of advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The concern of exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Huge on-screen X-rays make client communication more efficient. The instant observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and precisely.

Digital radiography has greatly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It allows the client and the doctor to see images of the teeth in higher resolution on a large format for much easier detection of issues, all while reducing the radiation exposure to the client. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available instantly after exposure, getting rid of the wait and effort spent establishing and installing x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done immediately. Digital format also allows us to send and receive your images electronically for consultation that can be provided to you quickly.
