What Are Same Day Crowns?

The same day crown is a innovation for fixing broken teeth, and this restoration can be completed in a single appointment to the dentist's office. It makes your teeth tougher and more stunning, all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free, and the top-quality ceramic product is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

More About The Same Day Crown Process

Throughout your appointment, you and your dentist will go over the information of the procedure and your dental practitioner will answer any concerns you might have. Your dentist will then apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique 3D imaging camera to take a picture of your tooth. Using the brand-new software, your restoration will be developed according to your tooth's proper form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to create your restoration from a piece of ceramic. Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

Today's Discussion Has To Do With:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a treatment in which we apply a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be utilized in specific circumstances where a tooth has actually been broken or become stained. These are generally small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this reasonably affordable ways rather than through a more pricey dental treatment.

How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the alignment of the tooth, close spaces between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material adheres to the surface area. Then the material itself is positioned on the tooth and solidified with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to get a glossy finish as a last step.
