The Benefits Of Using Same Day Crowns Are:

  • It is time-saving. It enables you to have your dental crown put in place in just one dental visit.

  • Its material is biocompatible. Same day crowns use ceramic which imitates the appearance of your natural teeth hence making it visually pleasing. It does not cause temperature sensitivity which holds true when it comes to dental crowns made from metals.

  • It is durable. Same day crowns have the same toughness as those made from gold materials.

  • It is more accurate. The impression made from this new innovation is more accurate compared to standard impressions.

  • Taking dental impression is more comfortable. Same day crowns use intraoral camera and CAD to take the impression of the tooth while standard dental impression is done using salt alignate.

The only disadvantage of a same day crown is that not all clients are candidates for this treatment. Patients with substantial tooth damage that has reached the gum line needs a standard crown instead of a same day crown. Also, the damage in the front tooth needs a laboratory-manufactured crown since they are diligently made than same day crowns.

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of the majority of patients, there are numerous methods to bleach teeth. The most popular technique is utilizing a home tooth bleaching system that will whiten teeth dramatically. Because tooth lightening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize multiple approaches: custom made tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray technique involves having impressions taken, which the lab fabricates into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of day-to-day use. 3 different strengths of gel may be utilized, however, the greater the strength, the greater the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is suggested for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take numerous months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very fast and convenient bleaching procedure. The visit is approximately one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our patients enjoy this treatment since it is so simple and fast!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays ought to be utilized every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
