Same Day Crowns With Advanced Technology

We aim to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are taking place in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It permits us to produce crowns and bigger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most sophisticated dental innovation, including 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM technology. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The whole procedure takes in between 1-2 hours and can be completed in one sitting.

Usually, a crown in the past would have required two visits. The first visit includes preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a temporary crown. During the second appointment, the short-term crown is replaced with the permanent one. With a same day crown, the whole procedure can be finished in simply one appointment. We will use video imaging innovation to photograph the tooth and use CAD/CAM innovation to develop the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly sent to a milling machine that sculpts the restoration from a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the new crown to your tooth. This eliminates the need to get a temporary as well as a 2nd visit.

Restorative dentistry procedures can be essential to the general health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a consultation.

Teeth Veneers (Porcelain)

Veneers are a really thin pieces of durable, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a gorgeous and appealing smile.

Veneers can completely improve your teeth and smile. They can commonly be alternatives to crowns and the perfect solution in treating numerous cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

As with most dental restorations, veneers might one day require replacement; however, they are still really long lasting and will last years, offering you a long lasting, beautiful smile.

How Are Veneers Applied?

Veneers are a dental procedure in which a covering is put over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are normally only done to the part of the teeth that are seen when talking or smiling. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct method usually involves placing composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This technique is usually referred to as bonding.

The indirect strategy typically involves 2 visits because the veneers will be produced at a dental laboratory. At the first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a temporary covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The lab fabricated veneers are normally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are really esthetic.

The benefit of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the treatment is usually less unpleasant. Veneers are not advised for teeth that have huge fillings or little tooth structure.

You will get care instructions for your veneers. Appropriate brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will help in the life of your new and beautiful veneers.
