If you have a missing tooth or teeth, you know the humiliation and discomfort this can trigger. You have probably been investigating ways you can restore your smile and excellent bite. We believe you will be really interested to know that at our practice, you have the ability to receive same day crowns! It is a comfortable one-day treatment!

Our whole dental practice is advanced, except for our patient care and issue which is traditional. We know the pain missing teeth can cause patients, and for that reason we are extremely happy to be able to provide patients with same day crowns.

Dental crowns are used to strengthen a tooth, and return it to its initial function. Dental crowns are made to color-match the nearby teeth, so they can not be spotted by others as being anything less than a permanent tooth. With a dental crown, you have the ability to eat anything you like, and your clear speech will never be interrupted. In fact, your dental crown is so natural feeling, you will not even know it exists in your mouth.

Same day crowns are a very interesting offering of our practice. We have the ability to supply you with a beautiful brand-new smile in just one day. Our office has advanced devices that enables dental practitioners to offer you with crowns in just a little portion of the time that was needed before.

CAD/CAM technology is what makes this interesting advancement possible. The acronym represents computer-aided design/computed-aided manufacturing. We are able to use this technology in our system. This system is used to restore teeth, start to finish, in one day. This will save you from an additional appointment to our practice, a week or two later. We're sure you have far more amazing things you would rather do with your time than to sit in our dentist's chair any longer than you need to!

Using our brand-new system, we scan the readied tooth in your mouth or from an impression, and after that send the information to our in-office milling station. The restoration is computer-milled to the exact specifications to fit your mouth in minutes. As soon as the crown is crated, we put it in your mouth, and color, polish and restore your new tooth to a beautiful and natural-looking appeal. This technology can also be used for same-day veneers or inlays.

If you need a crown in a hurry, for an upcoming social or company event, this process might indeed be perfect for you. If you are interested in learning more about this process, contact us today for a visit.

Today's Discussion Is About:

Root Canal

Root canal treatment (also referred to as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is needed when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and detect issues early). Often deep restorations or trauma to a tooth might also trigger the nerve to be damaged to the point it needs root canal treatment. When this occurs, the pulp ends up being infected, and can even extend through the root tip and start to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it has to be treated, and can not recover by itself. It can even damage the entire immune system. This is dangerous, and may be really uncomfortable. Symptoms that the pulp has become infected might include sensitivity to hot/cold or sweets, pain, swelling, pain to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. In some cases, however, no symptoms are apparent and the individual is unaware of any issue till a checkup.

A root canal is then performed to clean out the infected tooth pulp, and sanitize the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. Once the infection is fixed, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any additional infection. Typically a core build-up and crown is suggested for bring back a tooth that has had root canal treatment.
