One Day Crowns And Teeth Restorations

Do you need to get a dental crown? Or will you quickly be requiring a dental procedure that will cause you to require a dental crown? If so, you might be beginning to fear the time you will have to spend at the dentist's office. At our dental practice, we provide a excellent time-saving option for you. We offer same day crowns at our practice!

At our practice we are proud to have professional and highly-trained dentists on staff. At our dental practice we integrate advanced innovations and treatments to supply our clients with the very best restorative, precautionary, implant, and cosmetic dentistry care. For clients who need to get dental crowns, we are extremely happy to be able to offer same day crowns.

Crowns and caps are 2 different names for the same thing. A dental crown is a restoration that is generally made from porcelain. It is a strong structure that is used to cover a tooth on all four sides to help reinforce the tooth and enhance its function.

Crowns can also be used to attach bridges, as the top portion of a dental implant, or to prevent a broken tooth from ending up being weaker. Crowns can also be used to reinforce a tooth after a root canal treatment.

Crowns are also used for purely aesthetic reasons, such as to cover a badly stained tooth that needs to be brought back to its original, appealing look.

Generally getting a dental crown is a lengthy treatment. The dental practitioner will need to take impressions, provide you with a short-term crown, wait for the crown to be returned from a lab, then have you return to the office so that it can be permanently connected. Today at our practice clients can get same day crowns in about 2 hours.

Our same day crowns are produced in our practice thanks to our CAD-CAM technology.

CAD-CAM stands for "computer-aided-design-computer-aided-manufacture." Computers are used to take pictures which are then computer-analyzed and used to create a crown.

This crown is actually milled by a computer in our office. The crown will fit your mouth precisely and eliminate any need to send out impressions or pictures to an outside lab.

All this is done while you wait, getting rid of the need to come back for a second visit.

You also will not have to get a temporary crown, because our permanent crown will be instantly offered to you.

Today's Topic Is About:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Detecting issues with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, expensive procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mostly utilized to discover:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have a number of advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The concern of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Huge on-screen X-rays make patient communication more effective. The immediate observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and properly.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It enables the patient and the medical professional to see pictures of the teeth in higher resolution on a big format for much easier detection of issues, all while reducing the radiation direct exposure to the client. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available quickly after exposure, eliminating the wait and effort spent developing and installing x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done immediately. Digital format also allows us to send and receive your images electronically for consultation that can be presented to you rapidly.
