CEREC TOOTH CROWN

Why Are These Crowns Called Same Day Crowns?

This state-of-the-art technology permits your dentist to take precise images of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and place a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single visit. Same day crowns offer exceptional benefits, value, and precision to our patients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown procedure includes 3 fundamental steps. First, your dental practitioner uses 3D imaging to take extremely accurate photos of your tooth and the surrounding structures. 2nd, they then download these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, creates your custom-fitted crown. Third, your dental practitioner will send out the design to their in-office accuracy milling device which creates the crown out of a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for extra strength and esthetics, your dentist will put it on your tooth.

Exactly What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

We just use dental porcelain and zirconia to create our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations provide incomparable toughness, durability, chip and stain resistance, and natural beauty.

Precision-fitted same day crowns require less tooth preparation and preserve more of your tooth structure.

Conventional crowns require two office visits. With same day crowns, you can come to our dentist's office for a visit and leave with a perfectly fixed tooth.

You can avoid the trouble and possible risks connected with ill-fitting temporary crowns.

The Topic For Today Is:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of most clients, there are a number of methods to whiten teeth. The most popular technique is utilizing a home tooth bleaching system that will lighten teeth significantly. Since tooth bleaching just works on natural tooth enamel, it is essential to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use multiple methods: customizeded tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory produces into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole process takes about a week of daily use. 3 different strengths of gel might be utilized, however, the higher the strength, the greater the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray method is suggested for badly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take numerous months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really quick and practical bleaching process. The visit is roughly one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our patients enjoy this treatment because it is so simple and quick!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up might be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays ought to be utilized every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
