ARE CEREC CROWNS GOOD
DRY CREEK MS

At our dental practice we do same day crowns. You may be asking, exactly what are same day crowns and what can it provide for me?

It is a 3D system that lets us make porcelain crowns and inlays all in one appointment. We have actually now been using this innovation for multiple years and like it more than ever.

Same day crowns are an in-surgery computer system that permits us to fix damaged or missing tooth structures with a ceramic material that's as close to a natural tooth as is possible.

This is done while you are in the practice, in just one appointment. All ceramic porcelain inlays and onlays, veneers and crowns that look and feel like natural teeth can be made and fitted in a single appointment, typically in about an hour.

So exactly what is the treatment?

We scan the opposite teeth and the way the teeth bite together first. We eliminate the old filling, and degeneration and any thin weak tooth material and scan the prepared tooth.

After this we quit working in the mouth and begin working with the computer.

Everybody likes seeing the pictures of their teeth and the creating of their brand-new tooth. We make 3D design and this information is sent out to the milling device.

Everybody asks if this is like 3D printing and yes it is, but the tooth is not developed layer by layer, it is cut from a block in the device, which is much stronger.

The block is then precisely sculpted to produce your new restoration, which is wonderful.

At last, the customized crown restoration bonded flawlessly into the tooth, strengthening and sealing it at the same time then we clean up!

We have to make certain that you can bite correctly, that its smooth and that you can floss.

Today's Topic Will Be:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of a lot of clients, there are numerous ways to lighten teeth. The most popular method is utilizing a home tooth bleaching system that will bleach teeth considerably. Because tooth bleaching only works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use multiple approaches: customizeded tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the lab produces into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole process takes about a week of day-to-day use. Three different strengths of gel might be used, however, the higher the strength, the greater the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is advised for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take a number of months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a extremely fast and convenient lightening procedure. The visit is roughly one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our clients love this treatment since it is so easy and fast!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays need to be used every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
