Why Are They Called Same Day Crowns?

This state-of-the-art technology enables your dentist to take precise pictures of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and position a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single appointment. Same day crowns provide unparalleled benefits, value, and precision to our patients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown procedure consists of 3 basic steps. First, your dental practitioner uses 3D imaging to take extremely precise pictures of your tooth and the surrounding structures. Next, they then download these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, creates your custom-fitted crown. 3rd, your dentist will send out the design to their in-office accuracy milling machine which develops the crown out of a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for extra strength and esthetics, your dental practitioner will position it on your tooth.

Exactly What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

We just use dental porcelain and zirconia to create our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations provide unparalleled toughness, resilience, chip and stain resistance, and natural beauty.

Precision-fitted same day crowns require less tooth prep work and protect more of your tooth structure.

Traditional crowns need two office visits. With same day crowns, you can come to our dentist's office for an appointment and leave with a perfectly fixed tooth.

You can prevent the trouble and potential threats related to ill-fitting temporary crowns.

The Discussion Of The Day Is:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a procedure in which we use a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be used in certain scenarios where a tooth has actually been broken or ended up being stained. These are typically small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively affordable means rather than through a more expensive dental procedure.

Here Is How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to modify the positioning of the tooth, close gaps in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material sticks to the surface area. Then the material itself is placed on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to obtain a glossy finish as a last step.
