What Are Single Visit Crowns?

Same day crowns are a brand-new innovation that a dental professional can financially restore damaged teeth in a single visit using a high-quality ceramic product that matches the natural color of other teeth.

How Does It Work?

Same day crowns use a CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing) innovation, incorporating a camera, computer and a milling machine in one instrument. The dentist uses a special camera to take an accurate image of the broken tooth. This optical impression is downloaded and shown on a color computer screen, where the dentist uses CAD technology to design the restoration. Then CAM takes over and immediately produces the restoration while the patient waits. Finally, the dental practitioner bonds the new restoration to the surface area of the old tooth. The entire procedure takes about one hour.

Exactly What Does This Innovation Mean For A Client?

A tooth-colored restoration means no more silver fillings discoloring smiles. The filling is natural-looking, suitable with tissue in the mouth, anti-abrasive and plaque-resistant. Dental practitioners no longer need to produce temporaries or take impressions and send them to a laboratory. Because of this, the traditional second visit has been removed. This brand-new innovation has over 10 years of scientific research and documents to support it. The restorations have actually been proven accurate, safe and effective.

A Beautiful Smile!

A stunning smile is one of your greatest assets - a reflection of happiness and good health.

The Topic For Today Is:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Spotting problems with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, pricey treatments or surgeries. X-rays are primarily used to spot:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have multiple advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The concern of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Huge on-screen X-rays make client communication more efficient. The immediate observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and precisely.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It enables the client and the physician to see images of the teeth in greater resolution on a big format for much easier detection of problems, all while reducing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available quickly after exposure, removing the wait and effort spent developing and installing x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done instantly. Digital format also allows us to send out and get your images electronically for consultation that can be presented to you rapidly.
