Updated On Saturday, December 15, 2018 10:50:46 PM

Same Day Crowns In Only One Visit

If you choose same day crowns, your experience will be quite different.
Instead of goopy impressions, our dentist will use a thin layer of reflective powder to your tooth and will take images of your tooth. Your new crown is then made right here at our office from a piece of ceramic. There is no metal in your crown.

While your crown is being made, you are free to wait and enjoy our dental spa. You might choose to have other dental work done throughout this time.

After your ceramic crown is made, it is bonded to your tooth using state of the art adhesive dentistry. Done and done!

You don't need multiple trips. Simply one appointments and you leave with your permanent crown! Now that should give you something to smile about!

If you have been thinking about a crown, talk to us about it today.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be used for a wide range of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

Today's Subject Will Be:

Teeth Veneers (Porcelain)

Veneers are a really thin pieces of long lasting, tooth shaped, porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a stunning and appealing smile.

Veneers can completely improve your teeth and smile. They can typically be alternatives to crowns and the perfect option in treating many cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Just like most dental restorations, veneers may one day need replacement; however, they are still extremely long lasting and will last many years, giving you a long lasting, lovely smile.

How Are Veneers Placed?

Veneers are a dental treatment where a covering is put over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are generally only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The procedure can be direct or indirect.

The direct technique normally involves putting composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This method is usually referred to as bonding.

The indirect method typically involves two visits because the veneers will be fabricated at a dental lab. At the very first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a temporary covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The lab produced veneers are usually made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are really esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the procedure is typically less uncomfortable. Veneers are not advised for teeth that have large fillings or little tooth structure.

You will get care instructions for your veneers. Appropriate brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will help in the life of your brand-new and lovely veneers.
