Why Choose Single Day Dental Crowns?

There are numerous advantages of one day crowns over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, saving you substantial time away from your job and family.

  • Comfort: With same day crowns, there is no requirement for a short-term crown, which eliminates significant possible discomfort and inconvenience of a lost short-term restoration. Only one visit means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was previously treated with a root canal. No conventional impressions means no gagging.

  • Aesthetics: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this new technology restores your teeth to their natural strength, appeal, and function and closely match the structure of natural tooth structure.

  • Durability: Milled ceramic is tougher than the standard technique of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain stunning for many years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and innovation can also be used for fillings. Since they are made out of porcelain, they are more long lasting than white composite fillings. They are much more aesthetic than mercury consisting of silver fillings and stronger because of bonding innovation.

If you have any more questions about same day crowns or porcelain crowns, please feel free to contact our office today. We will address any concerns you have and you can make an appointment to talk to our dentist personally.

The Topic For Today Is:

Tooth Veneers (Porcelain)

Veneers are a really thin pieces of resilient, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a gorgeous and appealing smile.

Veneers can entirely improve your teeth and smile. They can typically be alternatives to crowns and the perfect solution in treating numerous cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Just like many dental restorations, veneers might someday need replacement; however, they are still extremely long lasting and will last multiple years, providing you a long lasting, stunning smile.

How Are Veneers Placed?

Veneers are a dental treatment where a covering is positioned over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are generally only done to the part of the teeth that are seen when talking or grinning. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct technique normally involves putting composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This approach is generally referred to as bonding.

The indirect technique normally involves two appointments because the veneers will be fabricated at a dental lab. At the very first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are provided a temporary covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory made veneers are generally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are really esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the procedure is normally less unpleasant. Veneers are not advised for teeth that have big fillings or little tooth structure.

You will get care guidelines for your veneers. Appropriate brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will aid in the life of your new and beautiful veneers.
