Why Choose Same Day Crowns?

There are numerous benefits of single visit crowns over standard crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, saving you considerable time away from your job and family.

  • Comfort: With same day crowns, there is no need for a short-term crown, which removes significant potential discomfort and inconvenience of a lost temporary restoration. Only one appointment means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was previously treated with a root canal. No conventional impressions resulting in no gagging.

  • Aesthetic appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this new technology restores your teeth to their natural durability, charm, and function and closely match the composition of natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is tougher than the traditional technique of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain lovely for multiple years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and innovation can also be used for fillings. Because they are made out of porcelain, they are more long lasting than white composite fillings. They are a lot more aesthetic than mercury including silver fillings and stronger because of bonding innovation.

Today's Subject Is:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of many patients, there are a number of ways to lighten teeth. The most popular method is using a home tooth lightening system that will bleach teeth significantly. Since tooth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is necessary to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize numerous techniques: custom made tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray technique involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory makes into custom-made vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of day-to-day use. 3 different strengths of gel might be utilized, however, the higher the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is recommended for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take a number of months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really quick and practical bleaching process. The appointment is approximately one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our patients like this treatment because it is so simple and fast!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up might be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays must be used every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
