Temporary crowns and second visits for crowns are now normally unnecessary thanks to the same day crown technology. We offer this amazing one-visit crown innovation in our office, adding greater convenience to the procedure of getting a crown. The waiting time between your treatment and when you get your long-term crown is eliminated.

The same day crown technology is an instrument that permits ceramic restorations (crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays) to be performed in one check-up instead of two. The computer collaborates with a digital camera enabling the dental practitioner to make digital impressions without the annoyance of bulky impression material.

After taking the picture the computer takes over and mills your custom-made crown immediately so that we can cement your brand-new crown that same day. The outcomes we see are incredible. With the same day crowns, the strength, aesthetics, and fit of the ceramic restorations are excellent.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of locations requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a full scope of indications: onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers and inlays.

Today's Topic Is About:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of most clients, there are numerous methods to bleach teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth lightening system that will lighten teeth dramatically. Because tooth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists use a number of approaches: customizeded tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory fabricates into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole procedure takes about a week of daily use. 3 different strengths of gel may be utilized, however, the greater the strength, the higher the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is suggested for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take multiple months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very quick and convenient whitening procedure. The visit is approximately one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients like this treatment because it is so easy and fast!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays must be used every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
