A Few Advantages Of Getting A Same Day Crown

Crowns are a typical dental procedure that is frequently needed when someone's tooth is broken or if the tooth has actually deteriorated to the point where a filling will not be effective.

Normal crowns are relatively troublesome to get, however there is an alternative. Same-day crowns are a great option due to the fact that they are more convenient and lead to less pain:

Less Pain

A conventional crown can lead to pain for a few factors, however one of the greatest sources of discomfort and pain is an outcome of having to wear a temporary crown.

A temporary crown is used as a placeholder to secure your exposed tooth up until your long-term crown can be delivered to your dentist. This can take anywhere from a couple of days to a few weeks.

The issue with a short-term crown is that they are not very strong, which means that they can break or come loose extremely easily.

A broken or loose short-term crown will expose your tooth to liquids and food, both which can trigger a fair bit of pain if they reach the exposed nerves beneath the short-term crown.

Another source of discomfort comes from a loose crown rubbing along your gums. This rubbing can reach the point where it can get rather unpleasant and start to bleed, which also opens the course for potential infections.

Thankfully, a same-day crown will provide you with a long-term crown at the end of your very first visit to the dentist.

This gets rid of the requirement for a temporary crown, therefore permitting you to prevent all of the pain and discomfort.

Convenient

A conventional crown is not a very convenient procedure to have performed, mostly since it generally takes at least two appointments to complete.

If your short-term crown is broken or falls off, which is common, you will have to make another appointment to have it replaced. This can be a huge issue if you have a hectic schedule on your hands, or if you have a job that discourages taking some time off in the middle of a hectic work day.

However, a same-day crown can be completed in a single day, with a single appointment. This is enabled due to the fact that numerous dental practitioners will buy the devices to make their own crowns, instead of needing to order crowns from a dental lab.

This lets you avoid the hassle of needing to possibly spend weeks and several appointments to your dental practitioner before the treatment is over and done with.

Speak with your dentist and ask about the benefits provided by a same-day crown. A same-day crown can offer you with a hassle-free and relatively pain-free option to a conventional crown.

Today Were Discussing:

Ultra Sonic Cleanings

We use ultrasonic scalers for most adult dental cleanings. These devices use ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that cause gingivitis and periodontal disease. The ultrasonic cleaners produce microscopic bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, killing microorganisms and getting rid of plaque and tartar at the same time. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the gum pockets to help keep optimal gingival health.

  • The treatment only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can remove tartar buildup in hard-to-reach areas, with no damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling typically uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is hardly perceptible. This makes ultrasonic cleaning ideal to those with delicate teeth.

  • The cleaning process is quicker than manual scaling making your visit more comfy.

After your teeth have been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to look for any residual deposits and then polished.
