Why Do They Call Them Same Day Crowns?

This state-of-the-art technology permits your dental practitioner to take accurate images of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and place a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single visit. Same day crowns provide exceptional benefits, value, and accuracy to our clients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown procedure consists of 3 fundamental steps. First, your dentist uses 3D imaging to take extremely precise images of your tooth and the surrounding structures. Next, she downloads these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, creates your custom-fitted crown. Third, your dental practitioner will send the design to their in-office accuracy milling machine which develops the crown out of a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for added strength and esthetics, your dental practitioner will put it on your tooth.

What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

We just use dental porcelain and zirconia to develop our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations offer unparalleled toughness, resilience, chip and stain resistance, and natural appeal.

Precision-fitted same day crowns require less tooth prep work and preserve more of your tooth structure.

Conventional crowns need two office visits. With same day crowns, you can come to our dentist's office for a visit and leave with a magnificently fixed tooth.

You can prevent the inconvenience and potential risks connected with uncomfortable short-term crowns.

The Discussion Of The Day Is:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Spotting problems with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, pricey treatments or surgeries. X-rays are primarily utilized to discover:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have multiple advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The worry of direct exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Huge on-screen X-rays make client communication more effective. The instant observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It enables the patient and the doctor to see pictures of the teeth in higher resolution on a huge format for much easier detection of problems, all while reducing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The process we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available immediately after exposure, eliminating the wait and effort spent establishing and installing x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done instantly. Digital format also allows us to send and receive your images electronically for consultation that can be provided to you rapidly.
