Same Day Crowns - A Smart Technology

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are taking place in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It permits us to develop crowns and bigger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most sophisticated dental technology, consisting of 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM technology. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The entire procedure takes between 1-2 hours and can be completed in one sitting.

Usually, a crown in the past would have needed two appointments. The first visit consists of preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a temporary crown. Throughout the second appointment, the temporary crown is replaced with the long-term one. With a same day crown, the entire treatment can be finished in just one appointment. We will use video imaging innovation to photograph the tooth and use CAD/CAM technology to design the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly sent to a milling device that sculpts the restoration from a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the brand-new crown to your tooth. This eliminates the need to wear a temporary in addition to a 2nd visit.

Restorative dentistry procedures can be essential to the overall health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a consultation.

The Discussion For Today Will Be:

Dentures (Dental)

There are different kinds of dentures, however they share their common function. They replace teeth that have become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is great enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. Nobody enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly.

The entire mouth is analyzed and a determination is made as to which teeth will have to be removed, and which will stay. The loose teeth are then removed. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending upon the type. There is an adjustment period after dentures are positioned in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the normal capability and look return and one simply continues as usual. Frequently implants can be used to further stabilize the dentures.

It is very important to keep in mind that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a significant lifestyle change when as compared to natural teeth. Dentures affect the kind of food you are able to eat, your self-confidence in social scenarios, and even your self-confidence.

A Few Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the very same arch

  • Restore chewing ability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper complete denture will often feel much better than a lower complete denture. In order to considerably improve the fit of a lower complete denture, we often suggest utilizing dental implants as a retentive mechanism. Two dental implants positioned in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and considerably enhance comfort. Often, the implants can even be positioned in the jaw after a denture has actually been in use for numerous years.
