Temporary crowns and second visits for crowns are now usually unnecessary thanks to the same day crown innovation. We provide this amazing one-visit crown innovation in our office, adding higher convenience to the procedure of getting a crown. The waiting time in between your procedure and when you get your long-term crown is eliminated.

The same day crown technology is an instrument that permits ceramic restorations (crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays) to be carried out in one visit instead of 2. The computer collaborates with a digital camera enabling the dental practitioner to make digital impressions without the annoyance of bulky impression material.

After taking the picture the computer takes control and mills your custom-made crown right away so that we can cement your new crown that same day. The results we see are remarkable. With the same day crowns, the fit, strength, and aesthetics of the ceramic restorations are excellent.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of areas needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used in a wide range of indications: partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.

Today's Topic Will Be:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of the majority of patients, there are numerous methods to lighten teeth. The most popular technique is utilizing a home tooth lightening system that will bleach teeth considerably. Since tooth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use a number of techniques: customizeded tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory makes into custom-made vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire procedure takes about a week of day-to-day use. 3 different strengths of gel might be used, however, the greater the strength, the greater the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is suggested for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take a number of months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a extremely fast and practical whitening process. The visit is approximately one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients love this treatment since it is so easy and fast!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays ought to be utilized every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
